The first way expectant parents start their baby name search is usually by gender: Are you looking for a name for a boy or a girl?

About the gender prediction chart

As the legend goes, somewhere deep in an ancient tomb in China, a certain sort of chart was found — a chart that could supposedly figure out where a woman’s lunar age (based on cycles of the moon) and month of conception intersected, and, from that, tell whether or not that baby would be a boy or a girl.

Here’s a super-simple way to consult the Chinese conception gender chart to find out what it says you have in store. And while we give this doodad points for fun, we make no promises as to its accuracy — so don’t buy a whole layette based on your results!
